Jon, who recently received certification in social media marketing from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey, has a broad background in Corporate Communications, Employee Communications, Marketing Communications, and Public Relations. He directed Linde's interna/external brand change for the Healthcare, Respiratory Services and Industrial Gases businesses after its acquisition of BOC, including employee events, implemented a centralized Creative Services Department which yielded significant cost savings, and introduced Social Media into the company's communications mix.
Prior to Linde, Jon was Sr. Manager Communications for BOC Gases, a global Medical and Industrial Gases firm. In this role Jon managed Employee Communications, Public Relations and Marketing Communications programs in the U.S., and oversaw global Marketing Communications. He managed the company's yearly employee recognition awards program and orchestrated employee events, led a global team of communicators in the redesign of the company's brand guidelines, instituted a tradeshow tracking process and led a redesign of company tradeshow properties.
Earlier, Jon was Manager of Business Communications for Engelhard Corporation, the company known for inventing the automotive catalytic converter, where he was responsible for driving awareness for the company as a leader in environmental technologies. He served as a volunteer trainer in support of the company's Continuous Improvement Program and was involved in managing Public Involvement Plan (PIP) development.
