SMARTER WEB SURFING: LEARN TECHNIQUES AND INSIGHTS TO IMPROVE YOUR WEB SURFING SKILLS

WABC's Tech Guru Sree Sreenivasan to Lead Hands-On Workshop
At May NJ Creatives' Network Meeting

April 1, 2005 - Paramus, NJ - If you are like most Web users, you can waste a lot of time looking for the right information. Then when you find it, you may wonder whether you can trust it. In a hands-on session, exploring the pros and cons of various sites, WABC-TV's Tech Guru Sree Sreenivasan will show you a variety of ways to improve your Web surfing skills.

Hosted by NJ Creatives Network, the workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at the Bergen Museum of Art and Science, located on the lower level of the Bergen Mall in Paramus, NJ. Networking begins at 7:30 p.m. and the meeting and program begin at 8 p.m. The meeting is free for members, $10 for non-members and $5 for students who show proper identification. Refreshments are available during the networking portion of the meeting.

Since space is limited and Sree’s talks often attract a large audience, reservations for this event are recommended. Please call 201-384-9784 for reservations.

Tackling issues ranging from unreliable information, spam and viruses to having too many or too few search hits, Sree will also share information on useful sites and which search engine is best for each search.

During his talk, Sree will address such issues as unreliable information on websites, spam, pop-up windows, viruses and other annoyances. He will also answer questions about how to get the best search results, keeping track of new sites, and how to find sources and information quickly, among a variety of other topics. Audience members will have a chance to win exciting prizes.
