NEWS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: SWAN Showcases Creative Works March 3, 1998 — Northern New Jersey — Portfolios will open for the creative community at the annual one-night showcase of the Self-employed Writers and Artists Network (SWAN) "Creative Cafˇ" on Thursday, March 19. Offering prospective members insight into effective portfolio presentation, the networking event is a unique opportunity for buyers of creative services to meet professionals from a variety of disciplines and view work crossing a broad media spectrum. The meeting, which opens with a general networking session at 7:30 p.m., will be held at the Bergen Museum of Art and Science in Paramus. Refreshments will be served. The meeting is free to SWAN members and $8 for non-members at the door. SWAN, founded in 1984, is the regional business-to-business organization of freelance creative professionals, including writers, designers, illustrators, photographers, and multimedia producers.
