PARAMUS, NJ, Oct. 26,
1996--There is no one sure path to professional
success, but networking with peers is a solid
starting place to "get your foot in the
door." On Wednesday, Nov. 20, the
Self-Employed Writers and Artists Network (SWAN)
will provide you with that opportunity, giving
participants a chance to listen to, question, and
network with SWAN's Career Referral Team.
The evening will begin with a
panel discussion, and later will break into
separate "roundtable chat groups." Each
will be chaired by a referral leader covering
each SWAN discipline: Film/Audio/Video, Writing,
Illustration, Photography and Graphic Design.
Listed under their corresponding disciplines, the
referral panel includes:
Patricia Gandolfini,
film/audio/video, is a writer/producer for
television, radio and print, and the winner of
two Emmy awards.
Susan Brierly-Wills,
writing, is a corporate writer/creative director,
with 15 years of experience.
Deb Hoeffner,
illustration, is a professional who has worked
for a host of clients in the corporate,
advertising and publishing worlds.
Bruce Riccitelli,
photography, has expertise in a variety of areas,
including metal, glass, jewelry and comprehensive
still-life photography.
Wally Littman,
graphic design, is an international award-winning
art director with 20-plus years of experience
with major Madison Avenue agencies.
The meeting is free to members,
and $7.50 for non-members. For directions to the
meeting, or membership information, please call
the SWAN hotline at (201) 967-1313. SWAN is an
12-year-old organization of creative freelance
professionals. To see and hear more about SWAN,
