Infused with its hallmark ability to partner with the private and public sector, CBC forged a unique four-way partnership between neighborhood residents, local businesses, government agencies and member institutions. Advocating for community change through a range of projects, CBC orchestrated the commercial revitalization of many targeted neighborhoods. These successful efforts included the creation of a local park and playground where hazardous vacant buildings once stood, as well as renovation of existing salvageable housing.

Using a $180,000 grant from the Milton S. Eisenhower Foundation, CBC guided the quality control and fiscal management of the Logan Police Sub-Station, the only professionally managed police substation in Philadelphia . . .
