NJ Creatives Board of Directors 2007-2009

Webmaster Stan Cohen

President 2003-2007
Webmaster 1996-2009
Stan Cohen - President of NJ Creatives Network 2003-2007   Stan Cohen joined the organization in January 1994 and first became involved with the the trade show committee shortly after that. In 1995, he proposed to the board of directors starting a website for the organization.

There was debate over whether or not to have a website and if it would be good for the organization. Phil Cantor, president at the time, had to be convinced of the benefits of having a website before moving forward with the registration of a domain name. The first domain was registered in March 1996. In January 1999, the board voted to update the name to its current domain of NJCreatives.org. The website has had a variety of major updates as well as many monthly updates.

As creative director of Graphic Visions, he has been involved in computer graphics since his college days. Graphic Visions, now in its 13th year, offers design, illustration, animation, multimedia and consulting services to companies seeking a distinctive Internet presence. He earned his BS of Design degree in 1979 at the University of Cincinnati, Department of Industrial Design and has been associated with some of the leading electronic computer graphics companies, including Digital Effects, New York City, Advanced Technology Systems, Fair Lawn, NJ, Omnibus/Abel, New York City, Empire Video, New York City, and Intelligent Light, Fair Lawn, NJ.

His computer-generated work has been exhibited in Minneapolis, San Francisco, Detroit, Dallas and Boston, and his images have been published in numerous books and magazines. The driving force to get NJ Creatives onto the Web back in 1995, Cohen designed and implemented the first website for the organization, which went "on-line" in 1996. Stan has produced "on-line" web portfolios and "dot-com" websites for many of its members. He served as President and Webmaster of NJ Creatives from 2003-2007, and currently serves on its Board of Directors in his original and ongoing role as Webmaster.
